Free play - the children can play until all of the children arrive at school
Morning meeting - the children hear a daily message from the teacher as well as Gingerbread Boy (who helps facilitate questions and what we are learning). We also talk about the letter of the week, including what it looks like and what sound it makes. We talk about the calendar and what day it is, there is always a pattern and number associated with the calendar each month so we go over that. We sing the "days of the week" song and the "months of the year." We end each morning meeting with our "good morning song."

Small group instruction - the children are placed in groups of 4 and rotate between the two teachers as well as iPads (educational APPS).

Choice Time - children use this time to play in an area of their choosing. They can play in the kitchen area, art, puzzles, play dough, sand table, train table, blocks, ect...
Small Groups #2 - typically this time is Math activities and the morning is reading activities.

Play is crucial for child development, but ensuring readiness is vital to their growth in the new environment of public school. Our structured schedule mimics that of the public school, providing a strong academic foundation while providing multiple opportunities for free play both inside and outside daily.
